About the PHF

the Public Health Focus is an organization that exists because health is miseducated, misrepresented, and misplaced. That paradigm will be shifted. the PHF promotes the health and wellness of underserved people through unfiltered education and community engagement.

On June 11, 2023, the PHF was born out of a freshman college student’s frustration about health misinformation and inaccessibility. He launched social media campaigns and webinars, but none of them were as successful as he wanted them to be—except for one:

He created a post highlighting the absurdity of military spending by listing simple public health alternatives the US government could have allocated that budget for. The response was anti-PHF outrage—but the message was clear and true. That clarity, rawness, and bluntness that triggered 20,000 people is the force that drives Reuben Miree to push the PHF forward—unapologetically.
